Celtic’s u-19 side become screen stars for the day with Eurosport showing their clash with AC Milan live, kick-off 3pm at Livingston.
The young hoops lost 3-1 to the Italian side in the opening match of the group but after two strong performances against Ajax hopes are high of full points this afternoon.
After a resounding 4-1 home win over Ajax the young hoops lost the return fixture in heartbreaking fashion with two penalties saved in a 2-1 defeat.
“The performance against Ajax was pleasing but obviously it wasn’t the result that we wanted,” coach Stevie Frail admitted.
“Looking back there is a lot for us to take from that performance against a top side and we know that AC Milan are of a similar standard.
“We have to repeat the quality that we showed in the Ajax matches into this game and come out with the right result.
“This match will be on Eurosport which will be a good experience for our players, they have the chance to show a big audience what we see from them every week in training.
“We have got a lot of good young players at the club and we have to keep pushing them forward.
“We want to progress in this competition, if we don’t it won’t be through the lack of effort, we’re putting in the best performances we can.
“The players have come on a lot during the course of the competition and this is another chance for them to impress people.”
