Ally McCoist has been left in the dark about his January transfer plans.
Heavyweight CE Graham Wallace has taken a holiday and isn’t expected to discuss budgets with McCoist till the weekend- after the transfer window opens.
Since splashing out £900,000 to sign David Templeton from Hearts in August 2012 the Ibrox boss has been unable to spend any money on players due to the carefully negotiated ‘transfer embargo’ negotiated between Sevco and the SFA.
In January Charlie Green promised McCoist a £10m warchest which could rise to £30m but after making seven signings in the summer it seems that the warchest has been emptied with the threat of budget cuts in the air as Wallace gets to work on his 120 day plan to avoid administration.
After the Sevco AGM Wallace admitted: “The club recognised the role the fans played in supporting the team by reducing season ticket prices by a third last season and maintaining those for the current campaign.
“However, the financial cost of doing this has had an adverse impact on our revenue and also in terms of our operating losses.
“The current operating costs we have at the club are too high; it’s too high even for the top division, never mind the lower leagues.”
With the club losing over £1m a month the cash raised at the share issue is running out fast.
Most of McCoist’s signings, like Ian Black, Templeton, Dean Shiels, Dick Foster, Steven Smith and Steve Simonsen were lured by long term contracts making the prospect of pay-off’s expensive.
With Wallace out of the country on holiday it’s likely to be bad news for £800,000-a-year McCoist when he gets round to discussing his budget for the January transfer window.

Aw ah waaant fur chrishmash ish ma warchesht! (Apart fae a tray a steakbakesh that ish)

Are you pretending to be ally mccoist
You are a very naughty boy
Oh dear poor old Sally will have to wave bye bye to his bumper salary. More jelly and ice cream anyone? Tick tock tick tock…………
The Dunfermline v Sevco Zombie Tribute Act last night perfectly highlighted why Sevco f.c has inherited the DEAD Rangers cheating ways of winning things.
Dunfermline F.C had eleven young players they have been coaching and developing since the threat of Administration was lifted up against the overpaid remnants of other SPL clubs that Sevco f.c can’t afford in order to pretend that they are still the same toxic Govan club of yesteryear. . .along with a bias ref straight out of an Ipox Xmas cracker.
I thought the Pars fans were the highlight of the night with their endless singing of:
‘Are you Rangers in disguise!’
and other Xmas Zombie favourites!
Except for ONE toxic team next year seems to promise a Happy New Year!
It’s only a matter off time before mcoist does a runner with a suitcase full off ibrox mouldy pies
Joe,
I love that still of fat sally with his side- kick. lol.
The reality is beginning to bite for the
Tribute Act.Sugar Dave the SA crook does
not seem to be appearing over the horizon.
As they cast an envious eye towards our
CL riches, and mutter about stopping
10 in a row.
The stench of FEAR coming out of Ibrokes
as to what we can achieve and how far
we are ahead of them,is bliss.
However, it is up to our board to drive
home our advantage at every level.
McCoist is really a piss poor manager by anybody’s standards. Even the braindeads ,who ‘very quietly ‘ follows Sevco these days know this .As we say he could not manage his way out of a paper bag .Let’s hope he does get money and Newco will be in Administration sooner than later .Remember though McCoist was dumb enough to lose the League with a 10 point lead so anything is possible with this idiot.
If Carlsberg done pish poor managers!!
There’s talk of them signing Shuggie McGLuggie frae Peeterheed and there’s talk of us signing Zlatan Ibrahimivic from PSG.
Says it all really.
A big green and white happy new year to all the bhoys everywhere, have a good one.
hail hail THE CELTS ARE HERE
May I take this opportunity to wish ally mccoist a happy new year.
May he have a long reign.
He is our secret weapon.
Here we go ten in a row
