Commons delivers birthday double- on orders from ‘er indoors

Kris Commons dedicated the 50th and 51st goals of his Celtic career to daughter April- on orders from ‘er indoors.

The midfielders’ out-going partner Lisa Hague isn’t afraid to lay down the law and took to twitter to explain the difficulties of telling daughter April that daddy wouldn’t be around for part of her fourth birthday.

Family man Commons has been in the form of his life recently and after striking the post in the first half scored twice after the break- just as Lisa had promised/ordered.

Before the match she tweeted: “If a ghirl can’t have her daddy for her birthday, then a goal will have to do!”

Adding: “April cried and cried today for him not to go!! I think he’ll hit the back of the net 24th min!”

In the 24th minute April had to settle for Charlie Mulgrew hitting the post but in the 24th minute of the second half her dad headed home an Emilio Izaguirre cross then hammered home from a James Forrest pass two minutes later.

After the final whistle Lisa wasn’t slow to reach for her twitter account with: “What a day… What a day!!! Thanks for all Aprils birthday tweets. So glad the bhoys pounded 4 goals for her 4th bday, just what we ordered!”

Man of the moment Kris added: “Absolutely delighted to have scored my 50th and 51st goals for Celtic today. special day because it’s my daughters birthday too!!”

Always the one to get the last word Lisa came back with: “Couldn’t be prouder of @kcommons15 scoring his 50 and 51st goal for Celtic! Xx he’s on fire!”
