Easdale newsAngry Sevco fans have backed down from their plan to starve the current board out of the blue-room.

The launch of yet another supporters’ group was followed by claims that 10,000 fans had pledged to withhold season ticket money with thousands more ready to back Dave King’s mission to stop Celtic.

Mr King, described by a South African judge as a glib and shameless liar, was summoned to Ibrox on Friday before releasing a statement that he would wait to see the contents of the clubs’ 120 day financial review.

Following King’s lead, the Union of Fans have put their plans on the back burner, waiting to see how the cherished 120 day review pans out.

A statement from the latest fans group said: “Having secured these binding, public commitments from the board, through Dave King, we are now prepared to wait for the publication of the business review from Graham Wallace within the next 30 days.

“In the meantime, while the board complete this process, we will be continuing with plans to set up a Season Ticket Trust.

“We are determined to be in a position to provide it as an option if required and will continue to update the supporters on our progress on a regular basis. We expect to engage with legal advisers and trustees as early as next week.”

Friday, March 21st marks Mr Wallace’s 120th day as chief executive of Sevco, following in the footsteps of Charles Green and Craig Mather.

Wallace, who used to work for Manchester City, was appointed on November 20, after a month in charge and on the eve of the club AGM he announced a 120 day review of the club’s finances.

In their first ever accounts Sevco announced losses of £14m in the 13 month period to June 2013, the interim accounts for the period to December 2013 have yet to be sent to companies house with the club taking a £1.5m emergency loan to meet the February payroll,

Why after the previous incarnation went belly-up owing millions are they allowed to get away without posting Accounts information, beggars belief.

Why are they still allowed to trade with no Accounts? Also mr sneaky on the ongoing debate about servco at home in the next round he says that the venue was decided BY MEMBER CLUBS! Is this the same members club that put them down too the lower divisions ? And his response then? How things change when they get their own way. Amazing!!!
