Ronny DeilaRonny Deila describes his joy at Celtic’s win over Aberdeen as orgasmic!

It took a stoppage time strike from Virgil Van Dijk to give the bhoys full points to leapfrog Inverness Caley Thistle into top place in the SPFL.

After seeing Scott Brown red carded with nine minutes left to play most Celtic fans would have settled for a point before Van Dijk’s late goal sparked wild scenes of celebration on and off the park.

“The pitch wasn’t perfect but we fought all the way and got the goal in the end, which was orgasmic, if I can say that,” the hoops boss smiled. “The fans supported us all the way and to celebrate with the players and fans was fantastic.”

The build up to the match had been overshadowed by the race row involving Shay Logan and Alexsandar Tonev with Deila and Brown standing by their Bulgarian team-mate.

That stance had drawn criticism from Derek McInnes but the hoops boss refused to get drawn into a war of words with his Aberdeen counterpart.

“I think we have to talk with our feet,” Deila added. “That’s the most important thing. There was too much talking and I like to talk on the pitch.

“We knew it was going to be a hard game because Aberdeen are a good team and it’s a hard place to come and we didn’t get back from Romania until Friday.

Logan was an named man-of-the-match at Pittodrie but was given a retrospective red card after the final whistle for foul and abusive language aimed at an assistant referee.

Adam Rooney opened the scoring for Aberdeen midway through the first half by Stefan Johansen equalised before the interval.
