14. Stefan JohansenCeltic go into the quarter-final draw for the Scottish Cup today after a comfortbale 2-0 win over Dundee on Saturday.

Goals early in each half from Leigh Griffiths and Stefan Johansen barely tell the story of the match as Ronny Deila’s side continued their recent impressive form.

Dropped points against Dundee United and Ross County gave rise to expectations that the hoops might struggle to retain the title but with a 100% winning run without losing a goal 2015 is shaping up exactly as the club wish.

The re-emergence of Griffiths has put John Guidetti in the shadow with the former Hibs strikers opening the scoring for the second week running.

Last week at Hampden it was a powerful back post header from a Stefan Johansen cross that paved the way for a Celtic win, on Saturday it was a glancing near post header from a Mikael Lustig cross that broke the deadlock.

Celtic really should have been home and dry before half time but a combination of poor finishing and inspired goalkeeping kept the home side in the match.

Those hopes died early in the second half when a well timed run from Johansen found the midfielder perfectly placed to tuck away the loose ball after goalkeeper Scott Bain had pushed away another Griffiths header.

Despite maintaining the pressure Celtic failed to add to the scoreline with attention turning to Wednesday’s league visit to Partick Thistle.

If the hoops can maintain their winning run at Firhill and away to St Johnstone on Saturday they will go six points clear before the Dons next match- away to Hamilton Accies on Sunday.
