red cardThe SFA have hit Bilel Mohsni with three additional charges on top of the retrospective red card he received at Motherwell on Sunday.

Mohsni will carry an automatic four match to his next club and has until Tuesday June 9 to defend himself against the new charges.

Motherwell’s Lee Erwin has been booked for his role in the incident with two of his team-mates Lionel Ainsworth and Craig Moore offered two match suspensions for their part in the clash.

Announcing the Mohsni action the SFA stated: “Disciplinary Rule 202: In that at the above match (v Motherwell) you did commit Excessive Misconduct by committing sending-off offences of Violent Conduct. That Violent Conduct is an offence listed in the Schedule of Offences in Annex C of the Judicial Panel Protocol.

“That these sending-off offences of Violent Conduct were aggravated by the number of acts of Violent Conduct committed by you, by the prolonged nature of the incident involving these acts, and by the high degree of physical violence used. That your acts of Violent Conduct involved:

i) Kicking Lee Erwin of Motherwell FC
ii) Punching Lee Erwin of Motherwell FC upon the face so that his face was cut and he was injured
iii) Struggling violently with Fraser Kerr of Motherwell FC
Principal Hearing date: Thursday, 18th June 2015

“Mr Mohsni has until 3pm on Tuesday, 9th June 2015 to respond to the complaint.”

With the SFA taking additional action on three counts against Mohsni it’s less likely that Police Scotland will press charges against the Tunisian ace.
