Stressed Warbo slams Scotland’s greatest referee

Disrespectful Mark Warburton launched an astonishing verbal attack on Willie Collum after watching Sevco lose 2-1 at Falkirk yesterday.

With Hibs scoring a late winner at home to Queen of the South the pressure is on the former city trader when the top two meet at Ibrox in eight days time.

Collum was his usual inconsistent and distant best as he spoiled an eagerly anticipated fixture by a number of baffling decisions that left Warbo fuming.

Both sides received questionable penalty decisions with John Baird converting for the home side before Martyn Waghorn’s stoppage time effort was saved.

I don’t want to come across as a sore loser but there are some shocking decisions there,” the under pressure Ibrox chief said. “The penalty changed the game, giving our opponent something to hang onto.

“The one question from me is, why isn’t Danny Wilson sent off? If it’s a penalty and a goal scoring opportunity then why wasn’t he sent off?

“I think everyone inside the stadium saw the incident happened two or three yards outside the box.

“If you are going to make that decision less than three minutes into a game of that importance then you must get it right, be absolutely positive about what you do.

“I don’t think, very politely, it was anywhere near a penalty. I haven’t had the luxury of seeing our penalty again but at the time I didn’t believe it was a penalty incident either.”

After a dignified post match inquest good solid senior pro’s like Kenny Miller and Lee Wallace are expected to set an example with their attitude to training this week while talking up the ability of a squad that has taken eight points from their last six matches.

In the interview below Warbo told Sevco TV that the Falkirk penalty decision was appalling.
