Rangers First director William McIntyre has walked out on the fans group as the row over a proposed £500,000 loan threatens to tear the group apart.
McIntyre resigned on Wednesday as RF prepared to send out an email looking for a mandate to provide the troubled football company with a soft loan of £500,000 which will be converted to shares at some future date.
Sevco were booted off the Alternative Investment Market in March after failing to find a NOMAD prepared to work for a company with Dave King as chairman. Despite numerous promises the company has been unable to find any exchange willing to trade shares leaving a new rights issue in limbo.
James Blair of RF, and secretary of the football company, send an email out on Wednesday outlining the reasons why members should approve of the soft loan with various twitter accounts claiming that the loan value would be matched by Mr King.
Some fans expressed their concern about donating £500,000 to the company with a club statement denying King’s involvement setting off alarm bells among some fans with the role of Blair coming into question.
In an open letter calling for Blair to resign RF member Brian Bowman pleaded: “I am requesting that Rangers First put on HOLD with immediate effect the offer to loan Rangers International Football Club £500,000.This is nothing to do with not wishing to assisting the club I love.
“This request is 100% to question and challenge the diligence,lack of process and lack of detail and transparency given to the hard working Rangers supporters that put the money in the Rangers First account expecting it to be used to buy shares.
“I want to point out to you that as a member of Rangers First I request a full open meeting to discuss implications of this loan in full and it is paramount that all Rangers First members be allowed to ask as many questions relating to this loan in as much detail as required to allow ALL to make a clear informed decision on what is best for Rangers First.”
It’s believed that preliminary talks are underway to form a new fans group consisting of leading members of Rangers First, Rangers Trust, Union of Fans, Blue Order, Sons of Struth, Rangers Assembly and the Rangers Supporters Association.
What about calling it: The Association of the Assembly of the Order of the Fans Union of Blue Sons of Strewth …………….. or alternatively The Sevco Gullibles.

We used to come on to various Celtic websites from overseas to get Celtic news as the official website was rubbish.The reality is the official website and Celtic TV has a lot bet quality now and doesn’t constantly talk about the dead club.

Ignore the five exits from Europe in two seasons, failing to win over a third of our league games, averaging a goal a game conceded, but usually two, worst defence in atleast the last two decades, a manager who is tactically inept (as you say, to fat Sally levels) and a chief exec who is apparently buying the players on the say so of a scout who has lost his edge and it seems he manager doesn’t get a say in it.
