DeilaRonny Deila is enjoying the pressure of the Premiership title run in.

Tuesday’s 0-0 draw at Dundee put Celtic five points ahead of Aberdeen but a win for Derek McInnes’ side at Hearts tonight will see the gap cut to two points before the hoops kick off at Motherwell tomorrow.

With three wins and three draws from their last six SPFL games the pressure is on Deila to deliver a fifth successive title and the pathway to the group stages of the Champions League.

I always look forward to games,” he told the Evening Times. “There are six games and we have to push on. It could be worse. It is a good position but there is a way to go and this will be an important game for us.

Nothing has changed from our point of view. We would be going to Fir Park to get three points no matter what had happened with the game at Dundee or with Aberdeen on Friday night. We always want to win.

Of course I believe we are going to win the league. There are a lot of positives here and I believe in my players. That has not changed. Yes, there is pressure but I enjoy that pressure. If you don’t enjoy working under pressure then you should not be the Celtic manager.”

Erik Sviatchenko is a major doubt for the trip to Motherwell after picking up a thigh injury during the draw with Dundee.

Mikael Lustig was also substituted during that match and will have his fitness tested today before Deila decided on his side to face Motherwell.
