Mark McGheeFurious Mark McGhee cut short his after match media conference after losing 2-1 to Celtic at Fir Park.

The Sevco loving boss snubbed the offer of a handshake from Ronny Deila after the match which could see Motherwell lose out on a place in the top six of the Premiership.

Alison Robbie of Radio Clyde led the questioning as McGhee spat out the dummy when he was asked about the after-match snub for the Celtic boss.

Asked about what happened at the end of the game lightening fast McGhee replied: “The referee blew the whistle and we all went off, that’s what happened.”

Asked about snubbing Deila the Scotland Number 2 replied: “I’ve no idea what you are talking about.”

McGhee was then asked if he had blanked the Celtic boss and claimed: “That’s not true, I’ve got nothing to say about that, right, right.”

Earlier on the Motherwell boss had expressed his anger over an honest mistake saying: “We’re aggrieved that once again a decision has gone against us, I’ve watched it over and over, the linesman has only had one look at it but for me it’s onside and should have stood. We have been undone by a decision once again.”

Despite missing a first half penalty Leigh Griffiths scored twice to give Celtic full points to go eight points ahead of Aberdeen going into the split.

The final five fixtures will be announced on Monday morning with Celtic due to play Aberdeen at home which could turn into a title clincher.
