Anthony Stokes has responded to the suggestion by Radio Clyde troll Gerry McCulloch that he’d be a ‘Rangers’ supporter for a day.
The Irish internationalist helped Hibs reach the final of the Scottish Cup but along with Liam Henderson will watch from the stand if Celtic see off Sevco to reach the final.
Despite having collected Scottish Cup winners medals in 2011 and 2013 former Celtic TV presenter McCulloch suggested that Stokes should be supporting the Ibrox side tomorrow.
The Radio Clyde anchorman tweeted: “Stokes & Henderson big Rangers fans tomorrow.”
One Celtic fan quickly responded with: “No everybody sells out Gerry. They are not looking for a job on @ClydeSSB :-)”
Funnyman McCulloch popped back with: “You actually think they’ll want Celtic to win tomorrow? they are professional footballers. You’re kidding yourself if you think they don’t want to play in the Final.”
While McCulloch’s views alter depending on who is paying his salary Stokes quickly stepped in to kill the ‘debate’ stone dead.
He tweeted the media man: “@gerrymcculloch1 @Desb65 @ClydeSSB your kidding yourself on if you think Id like to see Rangers win any game never mind against Celtic.”

Enjoying his brush with fame the Radio Clyde man responded with: “ not a chance you don’t want to play in the Final .”
Joining in the conversation one Celtic fan tweeted: “They guy just publicly made you look stupid Gerry. I’d have left it at that….”
There is of course one subject that McCulloch and others will go to any length to avoid with a fan tweeting: “Gerry, can you clarify for me, were Rangers FC “demoted” to the bottom tier? Thanks.”
Another hoops fan suggested: “Wow, trying to tell people how THEY should feel, don’t give up the day job Gerry.”
