Warburton MarkFurious Mark Warburton has launched a blistering attack on media transfer speculation and hinted that he’ll be snapping up some stars from the European Championships.

Warbo, who used to work 16 hour days as a city trader before becoming a coach driver for the Watford youth team, made the bold claims on his club website.

Danny Graham, Grant Handley and Paul Paton have all been linked with a move to Ibrox as Dave King prepares to unleash his kids inheritance on stopping Celtic making it 6-in-a-row.

Ahead of this week’s glamour friendly against Tottenham’s u-17 side Warbo blasted: “It’s just an on-going process, people throw a hundred names and hope that one or two might stick, which I find quite bizarre.

“It’s very different up north than it is down south, that’s for sure. But the work’s been getting done now for a number of weeks.

“Frank McParland is in my mind the best in the business, and a lot of work had been done between myself and Stewart Robertson and Andrew Dickson.

“We know what we need, we know the areas we need to strengthen, we know we have a good core to the squad now, but there is no doubt that going to the next level where – if hopefully all goes well against Hibs with European football as well – that we have to make sure we have the strength and depth.

“So we run the risk this year, we knew what we were doing in terms of a lean squad, but we must never lose sight of the fact that every player must see a pathway to the first team. If we get that wrong then I think the unity of the group will suffer.

Hinting at the caliber of players that will be arriving Warbo added: “We’ll do as much work as early as possible. The Euros will impact it, the Euros mean that a lot of people go shopping early and to use that term, ‘the shelves will be bare’.

“So we have to make sure we get them in as early as possible, ideally the permanent signing back here for June 18.”

Dean Shiels, Nicholas Clark, David Templeton, Nicholas Clark, William King, Dominic Ball and Gedian Zelalem haven’t been offered contracts to continue next season’s journey.
