Tony Watt made his first appearance in three months against Bromley on Tuesday night with several Championship clubs keeping tabs on the Charlton striker.
The former Celtic striker scored for Charlton, Cardiff and Blackburn last season but found his loan deal to Ewood Park cut short by injury at the start of April.
Since Watt arrived at The Valley Charlton have gone through five managers with new boss Russell Slade aware of interest in the 22-year-old striker.
“There’s been interest in several of our players but the first thing for Tony is to get fit,” Slade said after Watt’s second half appearance against Bromley.
“He’s been out for a good few months now and it was his first run-out and that’s something to build on and it’s as simple as that.
“Tony has got great ability, he overdoes it sometimes and took too many touches at times, but that comes with his thirst and wanting to get on the ball and hurt the opposition.
“He probably did too much at times and we were probably guilty of that once or twice in the second period – or maybe more than that – rather than moving it quickly which might have opened them up.”
Watt left Celtic two years ago for Standard Liege having spent part of the previous season on loan to Lierse where he quickly became a fans favourite.
In January 2015 he moved from Standard to Charlton where he scored seven times in 29 Championship starts before the financial troubles at the club forced him out to Cardiff and Blackburn on loan as Charlton were relegated to League One.
