Celtic fans gave Dorus de Vries a mixed reception after the Dutchman made his debut in the 4-1 win over Aberdeen today.
Brendan Rodgers decision to replace Craig Gordon was the big talking point when the team was announced with the former Hearts keeper dropped from the side that lost to Hapoel Beer Sheva alongside Saidy Janko.
While appearing to be Mr Nice Guy in public there is no doubting the ruthless streak that Rodgers possesses when it come to team decisions.
De Vries worked with Rodgers at Swansea City with the Irishman showing no hesitation about giving the keeper his Celtic debut ahead of matches against Sevco and Barcelona.
BR on Dorus de Vries debut: “I do what I do every game. I pick what I think is the best team.”

@videocelts difficult to judge with so little to do but he did put us in trouble trying to play out from the back in 1st half

@videocelts still to develop a relationship with defenders. Seemed ponderous when he had the ball.

@videocelts I can see Gordon being back in a Flash.
