Manchester City are set to welcome Celtic fans to the Etihad with hoops fans allowed to wear their colours throughout the stadium- on the official tour.

Celtic will get around 2,000 tickets for the final match of Group C on December 6.

Hoops fans have been snapping up hospitality packages to ensure their place inside the stadium hoping that Brendan Rodgers side can improve on the 3-3 draw with City in Glasgow.

Hospitality packages are outwith the reach of most fans with John Hilferty deciding that a stadium tour is his best way of getting a taste of the action.

City have developed a first class reputation in all areas off the pitch with a strong emphasis on being hands on with supporter issues and working with the local community.

Included in John’s tour will be a visit to the directors box and hospitality areas as well as a look behind the scenes at the press room, dressing room and then a walk down the tunnel onto the pitch.

The Etihad Stadium was originally built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games with City moving in initially as tenants of the local authority.

Six years later that all changed with the takeover of the club led by the wealthy Sheikh Mansour family from Abu Dhabi.

Stadium expansion plans are in place with the entire area around the stadium revived and regenerated in a bid to improve the image of the club and strengthen relations with the local communities.
