Dedryck Boyata starts his first game of the season tonight when Celtic visit Kilmarnock.

The former Manchester City defender was a regular in the side under Ronny Deila but has only been on the bench once this season, for the Champions League tie away to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Tom Rogic and Emilio Izaguirre are among the subs after returning to Lennoxtown yesterday after playing in World Cup qualifiers on Tuesday.

Tonight’s match gives the hoops the chance to go 14 points ahead of Aberdeen who travel to Inverness Caley Thistle tomorrow.

Earlier this season Celtic crushed Kilmanock 6-1 despite going behind to a wonder goal from Souleymane Coulibaly after 32 minutes.

At half-time in that match Craig Gordon replaced Dorus de Vries with the Scotland keeper unbeaten in domestic matches since regaining his place in the side.

Last Friday Gordon regained his place in the Scotland lining up alongside Scott Brown, James Forrest and Leigh Griffiths in the 3-0 defeat from England at Wembley.

CELTIC: Gordon; Lustig, Boyata, Sviatchenko; Roberts, Brown, Armstrong, McGregor, Sinclair; Forrest Dembele

SUBS De Vries, Gamboa, Izaguirre, Toure, Rogic, Bitton, Christie
