Managerless Hearts rattled another half dozen rusty nails into Mark Warburton’s coffin tonight with a 2-0 win against the Magic Hat at Tynecastle.

Despite the momentum of scarping together a couple of stoppage time wins against relegation candidates Sevco had no answer to the Edinburgh side tonight.

While Warbo chased Joe Dodoo and Joe Garner he overlooked Robbie Muirhead who joined Hearts on a free transfer after spells with Dundee United and Partick Thistle.

Muirhead did the damage with goals in each half to give Robbie Neilson the perfect send off as he moves on to take charge of MK Dons with one more victory over the tribute act on his CV.

On Friday Warbo, who may soon be looking for a job as a city trader, was warned of the consequences of not finishing second by chairman Dave King.

Well we’re sitting second tonight,” he boasted on Saturday after scraping past Partick Thistle.

Four nights later the tribute act are in third place, if Aberdeen win at Ibrox on Saturday they too will leapfrog Warbo’s side while having two games in hand.

Seven wins in 15 top flight games says it all about Warbo with no points taken away to Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts- just like last season when they lost four times away to Falkirk and Hibs.

With a straight face Warbo told Sevco shareholders that he managed the biggest club in the country!
