The number of fans arrested following the Scottish Cup Final pitch invasion is set to hit through the 100 mark.

Five months after the match was played Police Scotland are still reviewing video footage of the mayhem and making arrests.

Despite the scenes of shame the SFA will be taking no action will be taken against either club.

At the final whistle jubilant Hibs fans raced onto the pitch to celebrate their first Scottish Cup success in over 100 years.

With little police presence inside Hampden unhappy Sevco fans ran on to the pitch to confront the jubilant Hi-bees.

Despite a statement on the Sevco website that the fans on the pitch acted in self defence it’s believed that more than 60% of those arrested by the police are Ibrox season ticket holders.

Announcing the latest arrests the BBC said: “Seven more men have been arrested in connection with disorder at the end of May’s Scottish Cup Final.

The men, who are aged between 21 and 47, are all expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

Police have now made a total of 95 arrests after violent scenes followed a pitch invasion at Hampden on Saturday 21 May.

The disorder marred the end of the Hibs v Rangers cup final, which ended in a 3-2 victory for the Edinburgh side.”
