Chris Sutton can’t contain his excitement as he looks forward to tonight’s Celtic v Barcelona Champions League clash.

Arsenal and Manchester City are both involved in vital ties tonight but as far as the BT Sport pundit is concerned there is only one show in town.

Sutton knows all about the history of Celtic v Barcelona having played in the Martin O’Neill side that beat the Catalans 1-0 in February 2004 then scored in a 3-1 defeat later that year when a certain Henrik Larsson came off the bench to score the final goal of the game.

A year ago Sutton was covering Celtic’s Europa League campaign with the hoops about to lose 2-1 at home to Ajax to kill off their slim hopes of progress in UEFA’s secondary competition.

Tonight Celtic need to win at home to Barcelona and hope that Borussia Monchengladbach are beaten at home by Manchester City.

The hoops trail Gladbach by two points and must win one of their two remaining matches while hoping that the German side take nothing from their remaining fixtures.
