Mark Warburton has dismissed speculation that he’s had a fall out with Martyn Waghorn.

The striker has fallen out of favour in recent weeks and was sent to Dingwall on Tuesday for a Development League match.

Last season Waggers could do no wrong as Sevco romped to promotion but yesterday on social media his frustrations were obvious when a video emerged of him confronting a schoolboy who told him that he was s**te.

Bristol City have been linked with the former Wigan ace since the summer transfer window but Warbo, who used to work as a city trader, chose to joke about claims that he was no longer seeing eye to eye with the striker.

The Sevco chief claimed: “I read a report that we had a big fallout, which was quite interesting.

“Waggy knocked on the door and said: ‘Have we fallen out gaffer?’ I said: ‘Not as far as I’m aware, Waggy’. Far from it.

“He started five games in a row. He wants to play football, of course he does. When he is starting there are other guys that are frustrated. The decision David (Weir) and I made was to increase the squad size from 21 to 23 because last year we literally ran out of bodies by the cup final.

“So we had to add numbers, which we did. That means if everyone is fit and well you are going to have one or two frustrated players.”

Since scoring against Hanilton Accies in the opening day of the season Waggers has failed to find the net in 8 SPFL matches.

Last season in 25 Championship matches he scored 20 goals.
