Celtic’s u-17 side enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 league win over Sevco at Lennoxtown this morning.

A first half double from Kerr McInroy put the young hoops in control with Grant Savoury completing the scoring after the break.

It was the second time this season that the two clubs had met with a late deflected goal allowing the Murray Park all stars to snatch a draw in the Glasgow Cup.

Central midfielder McInroy broke into the u-17 side last season and recently appeared as a substitute in the Development League away to St Mirren.

In September he scored the only goal of the game as Scotland’s u-17 side beat Portugal 1-0 to progress in the European Championships.

In the other group matches Scotland beat Wales and Malta without losing a goal with Celtic defenders Stephen Welsh, Robbie Deas and Daniel Church playing in all three matches.

The draw for the elite qualifying round for the European Championships will be made next month.

CELTIC: McAdams; Duffy, Welsh, Deas, Church; Savoury, Marku, McInroy; Cafferty, Henderson, Campbell.
