Before their 1-0 win over Hamilton Accies Celtic tweeted a picture of the moon shining in on Celtic Park.

With football stadium safety so prominent among internet bampots it certainly caused a stir among the fans following the match.

There has been intense speculation about the safety or otherwise of Ibrox Stadium with one well informed blogger claiming that safety nets will be installed under three stands early in the new year.

That report prompted Glasgow MSP James Dornan to seek reassurances that all was well at the once five star stadium.

For the fans that were under the roofs of Celtic Park it was hardly a night of vintage footy as their side moved 11 points clear at the top of the table with two games in hand.

Leigh Griffiths scored the only goal of the game, striking nine minutes before half time after being teed up by Moussa Dembele.

Celtic missed a host of second half chances then survived a few mild scares in the last ten minutes as Accies pushed for their sixth successive draw but the hoops defence held firm to collect full points.
