There will forever be an indescribable joy at watching Celtic score at Ibrox.

Whether you are in the stadium or elsewhere in the world it’s a magic moment when the ball hits the back of the net.

After going to Ibrox full of confidence the first 20 minutes of today’s match was a shock to the system of most Celtic fans as their players struggled to make passes connect or at times resemble a football team.

Just past the half hour mark normality was resumed. Scott Sinclair’s corner fell to Moussa Dembele and his strike was good and true- none of the home players dared to get in the way of the missile.

One hundred and thirty yards behind Dembele the Celtic fans let out a roar that was a kick in the guts to the home fans- their festive fantasy was over, their heroes were about to be exposed and taken apart.

The final scoreline was only 2-1, it could have been more, it should have been more but it’ll be a very happy new year for Celtic fans worldwide while the deluded and gullible are left wondering when and if their pain will ever end.
