Brendan Rodgers has promised the Celtic support that they’ll be watching 11 hungry hoops at Ibrox tomorrow.
With a 16 point advantage against a club that has failed to beat St Johnstone or Ross County in four attempts it would be natural for the league leaders to feel confident and even cocky.
Rodgers prepares thoroughly for every match and knows what to expect when he sends his players out at lunchtime on Saturday.
Seven thousand Celtic fans will brave the elements to back their team with Rodgers issuing a promise to every fan.
“We have a pride and we are representing our supporters and, in derby games, it’s everything for them,” The Sun reported the Celtic boss saying. “We respect that.
“Every game is intense, it doesn’t matter what the points difference is. You are fighting for your shirt.
“One thing I said to the players when I came here was that they’re defending the culture of the club.
“That is in every single game — not just a Celtic v Rangers game.
“You have a duty to defend the great culture of this club. Whether you are 16 points, possibly 19, in front, it doesn’t matter. We have to fight.”
Rodgers will be without the injured Tom Rogic in midfield with his biggest selection being who to play in attack.
Moussa Dembele has scored four goals in two matches against Warbo’s warriors but Leigh Griffiths is the in form striker with four goals so far in December.
A win for Celtic would put the hoops 19 points clear of Sevco with a game in hand.
