Furious Warbo hits out at his critics

Stressed out Mark Warburton was unable to take credit for Sevco’s win over Aberdeen and handed the praise over to his critics!

It seems that criticism of the Magic Hat and his players following their defeat to Hearts provided them with and extra spur to beat Hearts rather than a tactical change or two from the former city trader.

Yesterday’s win over Aberdeen takes the heat off Warbo with his energy concentrated on a three way fight for second place with #goingfor55 binned as he looks at Celtic’s eight point lead with three matches in hand.

Rather than enjoy some credit for the win Warbo decided to attack the critics without naming names.

Speaking after the crucial win over Aberdeen the former Brentford supremo told The Sun: “The players are more than irked by comments made about them, comments questioning their battling qualities and desire etc.

Irked is the polite way of putting it, but they responded really well. They answered a lot of questions today, a lot of nonsense that’s been said about them. They more than answered those questions today.”

Asked if he had also been irked Warbo added: “Yeah, I’d be lying if I said otherwise. I think everyone in the room would be irked by some of the comments, some of the nonsense written today as well.

The best way to answer those comments is to win games of football. Don’t get drawn into nonsensical rows.”

Without naming names or specific comments Warbo is making himself look even further out of his depth.

With eight wins from 16 matches in the top flight it won’t be long until his side slip up again- leaving Warbo wide open to criticism before the inevitable call from South Africa results in the former city trader seeking media work.
