Real Madrid are believed to be about to send Martin Odegaard out on loan to Rennes after it was revealed that they paid £9m for the teenagers signature last year.
The Norwegian wonderkid spent a week training with Celtic after making his debut for Stromsgodset but his parents seemed set on securing the most lucrative contract possible.
Odegaard had been linked with loan moves to Celtic while Deila was in charge but it seems that Rennes are prepared to take on his £1m/year wages as part of the loan deal with Real.
News of the fee paid to Stromsgodset emerged in the latest batch of contracts released by the Football Leaks website, published in Spain by El Mundo and reported on in the Daily Mail.
The story claims that Real paid £9m for Odegaard shortly after the player turned 16 and also pay out a bonus of £40,000 for each appearance on top of his weekly salary of around £20,000.
Rennes are believed to be offering to take the winger on a 12 or 18 month loan deal.
