Brendan Rodgers has put the Celtic squad through their first training session in Dubai.

Despite the mild weather in Scotland it seems that the bhoys aren’t missing any home comforts as they are put through their paces at their luxury training base.

The hoops flew out yesterday from Glasgow although a number of players were already in Dubai with wife’s partners and kids all part of the trip.

Rodgers will put the players through two sessions a day as they gear up for a hectic return to action that will include home matches with St Johnstone, Hearts and Aberdeen before February 2.

The hoops boss is hoping to add to his squad during the month with just a work permit required to complete the signing of Kouassi Eboue.

The teenager is in Dubai with Celtic but can’t take part in any training until his work permit is granted.

Two weeks tomorrow it will be back to reality for the hoops as they visit Airdrie to take on Albion Rovers in the Scottish Cup.
