Emilio Izaguirre is a transfer target for Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United.

According to a report in the English edition of The Sun the Championship clubs are keen on the defender although the story loses some credibility with references to Park Head.

Izaguirre is out of contract in the summer with Brendan Rodgers planning to have talks at some stage.

Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday both have hopes of being promoted to the Premier League which is likely to radically change their transfer targets.

Izaguirre was linked with moves to the MLS and to Spain last summer but Rodgers refused to sanction a move since he had no other back up to Kieran Tierney.

With the teenager suffering ankle ligament damage in training the Honduran has been recalled to the side and has played better than at any stage over the last three seasons.

Izaguirre has made 16 first team appearances with 13 of them coming after Tierney was injured.

A spokesman for Paul the Tim said: “Geez peace.”
