There will be no last minute transfer raids on Celtic during the January transfer window.

With a week to go Brendan Rodgers squad remains intact with only a few loan deals reducing the numbers at Lennoxtown.

West Ham and Manchester United have been linked with Moussa Dembele and Kieran Tierney but no offers have been made.

Champions League football has further secured Celtic’s finances with no pressure on the hoops boss to move players on.

Since Rodgers arrived the value of the Celtic squad has shot up but despite plenty of admirers no-one will be leaving before the window closes.

There’s not been any bids I am aware of,” the Celtic boss stated. “There has been lots of speculation about Moussa and Kieran but nothing has come in.

You don’t mind the speculation because it means they are doing well for the team, but everyone’s happy. They are happy to be here, working and playing well.

Nothing will be happening in January regards them or any others. We are looking to help the squad and bring some in, I’m sure one or two might go out to get games somewhere.”

Hibs and Aberdeen are in contact about taking Kris Commons on loan but the player’s wages are likely to be a stumbling block.

Tonight the Celtic boss will be without Kouassi Eboue for the visit of St Johnstone with Tom Rogic not expected to resume full training for ten days.
