Brendan Rodgers will work until the last minute of the January transfer window to bring in new faces to Celtic.
January is viewed by many managers as a difficult month but that excuse can often be used to cover up for other issues.
Rodgers has a squad that is just ten wins at most away from winning the title and three Scottish Cup victories away from a final appearance at Hampden.
The hoops boss however has ambitions beyond the domestic game and wants to put together a squad capable of competing strongly in the group phase of the Champions League.

BR: “January, in my past history, has normally been a pretty good month.”

BR: “In the main, it’s a good month but it’s always about the quality and if you can get the quality in, great.”

BR: “But we never sign them just for stock piling the squad.”

Rodgers isn’t interested in making up the numbers and taking the appearance money from UEFA, he wants to push his side to the limit by creating a squad that worries opponents as much as a visit to Celtic Park intimidates them.
Eboue Kouassi was captured in the first week of the transfer window being open with Rodgers sounding confident that there will be other arrivals to help him prepare for the Champions League qualifiers.
