Joe Thomson enjoyed a scoring debut as Queen of the South beat St Mirren 3-0 at the 2021 Stadium in Paisley.
The 19-year-old switched from Dumbarton to Queen’s at the start of the week and went straight into Gary Naysmith’s side.
Steven Dobbie opened the scoring just before half-time with Thomson’s tap-in sealing the points in the 81st minute before an own goal from Gary MacKenzie in the 88th minute completed the scoring.
Thomas curls a shot which is saved by the `keeper, Dobbie volleys a rebound off the post and Thomson taps in from close range. 2-0.

After 14 matches without a win the points were very welcome for the Dumfries side who are now a comfortable 12 points clear of bottom placed St Mirren.
Next Saturday Queen’s travel to Dundee United where Thomson made his only Celtic first team appearance in August 2015.
Elsewhere in The Championship Jamie Lindsay and Aidan Nesbitt played the full 90 minutes as Morton beat Dumbarton 2-1 to retain third place in the table behind Hibs and Dundee United.
In the Lowland League Shaun Bowers was on target as BSC Glasgow as they beat Stirling University 4-1.
56. What a goal from Shaun Bowers! Cuts in from the right and curls one into the top left corner, Marshall couldn’t get close. 3-1! pic.twitter.com/glzbTVFP4N
