After two goals in four matches comeback defender Dedryck Boyata has now been saluted in song.

Like almost everyone at the club last season was one to forget as the defender attempted to settle at Celtic and replace his former Manchester City team-mate Jason Denayer.

With Virgil van Dijk off to Southampton and an all round collapse in confidence it was a season to forget for Denayer even though he did finish it with an SPFL medal.

His final appearance was in the Scottish Cup semi-final defeat at Hampden where he picked up an early injury that also ruled him out of the European Championships.

During the first part of the season his only appearance came in the 1-0 win away to Kilmarnock but that was mainly down to Celtic not wanting to risk Jozo Simunovic on a plastic pitch.

Since returning from the winter break in Dubai it’s hard to argue a case against Boyata being Celtic’s best player.

Two match winning goals while contributing to four clean sheets has taken Celtic 25 points clear in the SPFL title race- and earned the defender his very own song.

It’s got Glasgow wit running through it and is bound to be popular as the title cliuncher gets closer and closer.
