Kevin Kilbane believes that Preston are bringing out the best in Aiden McGeady.
After seeing his club form go into freefall at Everton the midfielder jumped at the chance of a move to Preston and the opportunity to get his career back on track.
McGeady could easily have let his career drift after swapping Spartak Moscow for Everton and falling out with Roberto Martinez.
Preston boss Simon Grayson has worked extensively in the Championship and was confident that he could get the best out of the former Celtic midfielder.
Despite having one of the smallest budgets in the division Preston are sitting in tenth place with McGeady playing a significant role in back-to-back wins over Brentford and Birmingham.

At international level Martin O’Neill has kept McGeady involved with Kilbane delighted to see his old team-mate hit form with his home town side.
“He’s been playing well all season,” Kilbane told The Sun. “He is having an influence on every game.
“Martin loves him. He helped develop him — Aiden will have a say over these next few games.
“He’s playing in the Championship, so we know it’s a step up but he’s always had that ability. We’ve all seen it.”
On Saturday Preston have a local deby away to Wigan.
