Arsenal and Chelsea have entered the race for Henry Onyekuru.

According to a report in the Daily Mail the London clubs are prepared to pay £6m for the Eupen striker.

Celtic were believed to have made a bid of around £1m for the 19-year-old in January but it now seems certain that the hoops will have to look elsewhere for a new striker.

Once Celtic’s interest became known various vested interests got involved with reports that the player was wanted by CSKA Moscow and RB Leipzig.

At one stage Onyekuru refused to play or train with Eupen but the January transfer window closed without any move being completed.

The uncapped teenager would find it easier to gain a work permit to play for Celtic but a change in the qualifications mean that a £6m bid will increase the chances of joining Arsenal or Chelsea.

Onyekuru has returned to Eupen and recently scored the winner away to Gent taking his total for the season to 12 in 26 league matches
