A month short of the second anniversary of regime change at Ibrox MD Stewart Robertson has revealed that the company actually has a plan!

Like a Dave King investment statement no one actually knows what’s in the plan, a few buzzwords and reassurance that all will be well is enough to keep 95% of the gullibles happy.

The cynic might think that the plan involves administration with the shameful departure of Mark Warburton and Davie Weir strongly suggesting a club that doesn’t like facing up to it’s responsibilities.

Robbo is apparently a ‘good guy’ but why a Chartered Accountant would put his reputation and credentials on the line working to order for Dave King is hard fathom out.

Two years after regime change Mr King can’t find a mainstream bank to handle the club’s toxic account while securing a NOMAD is as likely as an away draw in the Scottish Cup.

Robertson’s credibility will be shot to pieces when administration visits Ibrox but with a salary of £300,000/year he should be able to soldier on.

Three days after the undignified departure of the recently feted Warbo, Robbo revealed to the club website: “It’s very simple. This board has a very, very clear plan about where this club is going.

The last two years has been all about laying the foundations. We came in to a situation where the club was broken effectively.

There has been a hell of a lot of work down in laying those foundations, and there are resources in place to take the club forward as quickly as we can.

Contrary to what fans may have heard or read recently, there is a very clear plan which we are following, and a very clear end goal which is ultimately to add to the trophies we have and getting Rangers right back to the top.”

The foundations of Robbo’s plan look as reassuring as looking up at the roofs of the decaying Ibrox Stadium.

With further emergency loans already scheduled for March Robbo also has to find the funds to defend the club plus colleagues Paul Murray and Mr King against Mike Ashley.

Warbo’s compo claim will drain funds further leaving Robbo to work the miracle of miracles of funding a new manager when £18m of King’s investment has failed to shake off Aberdeen and Hearts as Celtic sail further and further out into the Govan sunset.
