Chris Sutton didn’t take long to react to the departure of Mark Warburton.
With no one knowing what’s actually happening, including those in charge of the blue room of dignity, Sutton concentrated on the under-achievements of the former city photocopying salesman- and he didn’t miss.
On the morning of the first Glasgow derby of the season Sutton used his column in the Daily Record to ask if Warbo was the new Ronny Deila highlighting his blind faith in one playing system. Sevo were demolished 5-1 but Warbo felt there was no gap between the teams.
As the season developed Sutton stuck to the issue, Warbo was spouting nonsense and clearly more at home in pinstripes and power points than putting eleven men on the park capable of winning a football match while reacting to what actually happened during the game.
As a flavour of the video here are some highlights:
It’s not a magic hat it’s a dunce’s hat
They’ve lost games randomly- absolute nonsense
The misguided 55 banners to the thumpings in the Glasgow derbies
The gap was enormous, the job was too big for Mark Warburton
More (tomorrow) when we will be discussing the embarrassing plight Rangers have had here on BT Sport

As fans throughout the country laugh at the Ibrox pantomime Sutton’s attention is likely to fall on Dave King and his trail of broken promises, much like his dealings with the South African tax authorities.
Warbo bought into the Ibrox mindset hook line and sinker, he embraced We Are The People and regularly praised the backing of a support whose song book is utter poison and only tolerated in the best wee country in the world. You could change tolerated for embraced, encouraged and promoted.
Now he finds himself the target of the darkest of dark arts, he could contact Raith Rovers to find out what it’s like when the hounds are released in your direction.
With the backing of the League Managers Association Warbo is entitled to every penny of his contract which runs until June 2019, as is Davie Weir- the reward for beating Celtic in the Scottish Cup is now the millstone that could push Sevco into administration.
Sutton will be watching it, calling it as he sees it, not how he’s instructed to.
Fans of the Ibrox club loathe and detest the former Celtic striker but the tiny silent minority capable of joined up thinking would do well to listen to him.
Sutton sussed out Deila and Warbo, you couldn’t knock the two of them together and come up with a competent manager. They can talk the talk but not in the dressing room or touchline.
Dave Murray was a bad ‘un, Craig Whyte was a wrong ‘un, Charles Green a naughty ‘un. Mr King is much much more dangerous to the clubs from Ibrox than all three put together- just ask Mr Warbo.
