Warbo misses out on Forest job

|

Mark Warburton has missed out on another escape route out of Ibrox with Nottingham Forest announcing that caretaker boss Gary Brazil will remain in charge until the end of the season.

Rumours that Warbo was on his way to the top job at the City Ground swept the internet late yesterday afternoon with the odds on the former city trader getting the prime job crashing from 25/1 down to 2/1.

Sensible punters backed Warbo not to get the Forest job.

With only 18 months experience of managing in England there is little interest in the Londoner south of the border, since his revolution started at Ibrox 32 new managers have been appointed in the Championship with Warbo not getting a sniff at any job.

His Ibrox record of 12 wins out of 24 in the top flight, with the second biggest budget in the country doesn’t help.

Yesterday it was claimed that the 54-year-old was in London holding talks with a free agent but with his relationship with the Ibrox boardroom at rock bottom another salary is unlikely to be sanctioned.

Assistant manager Davie Weir claimed that last month the company signed their top two transfer targets.

As well as the Warbo for Forest rumour it has also been suggested that super scout Frank McParland was on his way out at Ibrox.

After being refused any money for transfers in January and seeing his pleas for new contracts for Kenny Miller and Clint Hill ignored it seems like the loss of McParland is just another insult for the former city trader to learn lessons from.
