Wacky Mark Wotte has promised Sevco fans Champions League football!

Follow following in the footsteps of Charles Green in an interview with James Traynor in 2012 the Dutch coaching guru shows the same level of delusion as most Ibrox fans.

With a #strongsecond heading in the same direction as #goingfor55 reality seems to be as much of a stranger as ever to the people.

Graeme Murty’s side are six points behind Aberdeen in third place and are 21 goals worse off than Derek McInnes side.

Before the split the tribute act visit Celtic Park and Pittodrie and look likely to fall at least 10 points behind the Dons as Hearts and St Johnstone battle for a Europa League place despite living within their means.

Ignoring reality and making a pitch for a salary Wotte told the Evening Times: “I spoke to Paul Murray two years ago and I know Andrew Dickson very well. He is a great guy, one of the stability factors there.

“I know that Douglas Park is involved as well and the owner is more remotely involved. I am happy out in Morocco with a great project and a great job, but if anyone wants to contact me then I am always open minded.

“I think they are still a sleeping giant at the moment so it would be important to wake them up to get back into the Champions League.”

With a former SFA employee praising Dickson, who deliberately withheld from the SFA and SPL full disclosure of payments made to players, Wotte seems like an ideal messiah for Ibrox.

Like Green his Champions League dreams will only be met by hopping in a taxi to G40.
