A surprise phone call?

Following the recent trend set by Craig Thompson and Andrew Dallas, Brendan Rodgers should expect to get a call today from an unknown number.

When Bobby Madden introduces himself it’ll be interesting to find out which decision he apologises for first.

Will it be his horror opening to the match highlighted by a quiet word in passing to Kenny Miller for his two footed lunge on Stuart Armstrong?

Having let Miller off why shouldn’t a future Celtic opponent try a repeat and hopefully catch the midfielder as Miller intended?

Or will Madden apologise for failing to award a penalty when Clint Hill chopped Leigh Griffiths down in the closing minutes?

The referee had a great view of it, did he check with his assistant that Griffiths fell over unaided. Or will Madden phone Graeme Murty to apologise for not booking Griffiths for diving?

If Patrick Roberts decides against remaining in Scotland who could blame him?

In recent weeks he’s watched career ending attempts on Kieran Tierney and Scott Sinclair. Yesterday it was Jason Holt attempting to end Roberts career with a crude scissor attack on the Manchester City kid. No punishment, not even a booking.

Watch your phone Brendan, it’s bound to be Bobby, isn’t it?
