Stewart Robertson and Andrew Dickson have promised the Sevco first team that the club will ditch Graeme Murty.

The failure to recruit Ross Wilson as Director of Football and the race for Pedro Caixinha has become increasingly desperate- almost as desperate as the company finances.

After two weeks of negotiations the bid to bring in the fifth best coach in Qatar has reached farcical levels with compensation required for Al-Ghafara and a proper contract put in front of Caixinha.

Ever since Mark Warburton was ditched the limitations of Robbo and Dicko have been exposed as they attempt to get a cheap and cheerful deal over the line to please Dave King.

According to the Daily Record, the favourite newspaper of Paul Murray, the dynamic duo visited Murray Park yesterday to promise their first team stars that the Portuguese recovery service is on it’s way.

The Record claims: “Record Sport understands Rangers MD Stewart Robertson and sidekick Andrew Dickson yesterday arrived at the players’ Auchenhowie HQ after training to bring them up to speed with their ongoing search for a new boss as well as a director of football.

And they confirmed top target Caixinha finally looks set to arrive in Glasgow ahead of Sunday’s Old Firm showdown with stand-in boss Graeme Murty also being told he’ll almost certainly still be calling the shots from the dugout at Celtic Park.”

The chase for Caixinha has neatly distracted attention away from the prospect of Sevco’s title bid ending on Sunday with a home win creating a 36 point gap between the two title contenders with just 10 games left to play.

In three SPFL matches in charge Murty has a record of one win and two defeats- even worse than Warbo.
