James Forrest will be available for Sunday’s derby clash with Sevco.

The on form winger suffered a bad looking injury early in the 2-0 win over Hamilton Accies and missed out on the wins over Inverness Caley Thistle and St Mirren.

Forrest returned to training today and is expected to go straight back into the team to face Graeme Murty’s lot.

Rodgers was also able to report encouraging news on the progress of Tom Rogic.

The midfielder was injured before Christmas and suffered a recurrence of the ankle injury in January that required surgery.

Celtic gave Rogic an extended break with the player about to start the equivalent of pre-season training.

At the end of Celtic’s season the midfielder will join up with Australia for the Confederations Cup before returning match sharp for Celtic’s Champions League qualifiers.

Rodgers has no fresh injury worries to report for Sunday’s match where a win would put Celtic 36 points ahead and out of reach for the tribute act.
