King’s incredible Easdale claim

Dave King has made an incredible claim about the Easdale brothers that is certain to bring a quick apology or face even more legal action.

The South African based criminal gave an interview to The Sun in which the result of the unfavourable outcome from the Takeover Panel was ‘overlooked’.

The interview was clearly aimed at reassuring supporters and shareholders that all is well despite shaky unaudited accounts and the imminent disaster of having to comply with the Takeover Panel result.

In 2015 the Easdale brothers, Sandy and James, were subjected to a campaign of open hostility from a large section of ‘supporters’ as King attempted to takeover the club alongside his concert party backers.

Additional security was installed to protect directors while at a match against Hearts an angry mob stormed past security at Argyle House to attack and abuse long standing employees.

King refused to comment on those incidents before ousting the Easdale’s from the blue-room of unsurpassed dignity.

Former chief executive Derek Llambias warned shareholders about the problems of a King takeover but according to the policeman’s son from Castlemilk he now has the backing of the Greenock based businessmen.

He explained to The Sun: “I think from a shareholder point of view that the shareholders are appreciative of what we have done? I think they are 100 per cent appreciative. I include Mike Ashley and I include the Easdales.

I bumped into one of the Easdales at the airport and he said ‘We really think what you have done with the club is fantastic.

We didn’t think so at first, but we actually think what you have done is fantastic from a company point of view’.

So I think we have done a good job at a company level, as far as the shareholders are concerned.”

That claim is certain to go unchallenged.

With King in charge the club has lost it’s NOMAD which prevents regular share dealing with next to no regulations on how the company operates.

The promised share issue has failed to happen while yesterdays unaudited accounts did little for shareholder confidence or company credibility.
