He didn’t quite say ‘This isn’t the end, it’s just the beginning’, but Brendan Rodgers delivered a message of intent ahead of the weekend that is likely to see the hoops clinch the title.
A defeat for Aberdeen at Dundee tonight or a Celtic win at Hearts on Sunday will seal a sixth successive title for the hoops- the first under Rodgers.
Bored pundits have speculated this week as to when the Irishman will leave Celtic but it’s clear that he is here for the long haul.
???? BR: “And we have only just begun. Still an awful lot of development left in this team. Real exciting part of it.”

In less than six months he transformed the club, revived players and got the fans finding ways to get to matches rather than excuses to stay away.
With just two draws preventing his side from having a 100% domestic record Rodgers is building for more success with no thoughts of back slapping over the weekend.
So far the Irishman has delivered on every promise, if his second year is as spectacular as the first some fantastic times are round the corner.
