Scott Sinclair is looking to respond to the slump by lifting the SPFL title and finishing the season unbeaten.

Twenty-seven wins and two draws have taken the hoops to the brink of the title despite failing to rattle in ten goals in their last two matches.

A draw with Sevco and laboured win away to Dundee has given some hope that the hoops can be beaten as they focus on finishing the season unbeaten with three trophies to show for their efforts.

Sinclair kicked the SPFL season off with the winning goal at Tynecastle back in August and is amused to hear talk of a slump aimed at the champions elect.

A declining pattern, definitely not,” he told the Daily Record about the last two performances. “It would be great for all the players to now kick on.

It’s one of those situations where we’ve done so well people just expect us to win easily every week.

Everyone now has the mentality of motoring through and getting this done – the whole squad. We always try to plough through.

The manager has the expectation of us to keep going and going but there are times when you have a break or go away just to relax and make sure you are ready when you come back.

We’re always looking positively. We go into each game to win and in the remaining games, it’s up to us to maintain that game by game.”

Sinclair is enjoying a 14 day break from action a he prepares for the visit to Tynecastle.

April and May promise to be rewarding months for the former Aston Villa man who missed out on the Betfred Cup success over Aberdeen due to injury.
