The reshuffle of deck chairs

The timing of the latest Sevco boardroom shuffle adds to the suspicion that bad news is around the corner.

Allowing toxic Dave King into your company isn’t a smart corporate move, being associated with last week’s fag packet unaudited accounts is a red flag moment in any career.

With Paul Murray, John Gilligan and Graeme (whose daddy is Douglas) Park stepping down from The Rangers Football Club (Sevco) to concentrate on their roles with Rangers International Football Club the bizarre corporate gymnastics continued.

The complex set up is of course entirely to kid the gullible on about the liquidation of Rangers Football Club in 2012 with the successor tribute act heading in the same direction.

TRFC is entirely dependent on the soft loans from RIFC with much of them repayable in December of this year.

Just like the old club’s decision to buy players and renew contracts rather than deal with tax bills the latest reshuffle completely ignores the need for Dave King to find a NOMAD and funds to underwrite a £7m takeover imposed by the Takeover Appeal Board.

The chances of King complying and slight, he doesn’t have much of a track record for complying with regulations.

From April 12 the toxic reputation of all things Ibrox takes a turn for the worst, the appointment of a Director of Football squirrel can be expected a few days beforehand. The three bears will have to deal with the iceberg aftermath, it won’t be pretty.

Park, George Letham and George Taylor must prepare to dig deeper to see off King or wave goodbye to the money they’ve sunk into the club over the last two years.

Not even Brother Pedro and a coach full of real Rangers men can avoid the chaos coming their way on April 12 as the gullibles rehearse the old lines of ‘ah but naebdy tellt us anything’ followed by ‘ah thote Mr King had sorted it aw oot’.
