Kieran Tierney has revealed that two months on the sidelines has made him want to play for Celtic even more than ever!

On the surface the defender seemed to be having a good time watching from the stand with his pals as Brendan Rodgers side stretched their lead at the top of the Premiership.

Each day Tierney would work on his recovery from damaged ankle ligaments and look out on his team-mates training at Lennoxtown.

There has never been any doubt about how committed the defender is to the club but as he watched on from the stand the teenager realised just how much he missed playing.

Tierney returned to action in the Scottish Cup tie away to Albion Rovers and hasn’t missed a game since.

With seven points needed to clinch the title the defender is fully focussed on picking up his second SPFL winners medal.

In November he missed out on the Betfred Cup Final win over Aberdeen but injury permitting he is one match away from finishing the season with a Hampden appearance in the final of the Scottish Cup.
