Connor McManus made his Queen of the South debut on Saturday away to Raith Rovers.

The midfielder moved out on loan on Friday and featured for the last 20 minutes of Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Starks Park.

Last season the 21-year-old was on loan at Alloa but with part-time training and relegation it seemed less than successful.

Queens have got six matches left to play this season starting with a visit from Dundee United on Saturday with the Challenge Cup winners looking to secure second place to avoid two extra play-off fixtures.

Along with Dunfermline, Queen of the South are in that very limited area of the Championship where they are detached from relegation and promotion.

Gary Naysmith took charge of Queen of the South in mid-season with Joe Thomson one of his first recruits,

Thomson has made 11 appearances for Queens and scored four goals after playing for Dumbarton in the first half of the season.
