It’s often used as a code word for all things Rangers/Sevco related but on Sunday Govan was Green and White.

Celts from that area of Glasgow are quick to point out that the football club are actually from the nearby Ibrox district.

Not long after the final whistle blew at Hampden the joy of local Celtic fans couldn’t be contained any further as they spilled onto the streets to salute the magic of Scotty Sinclair- it’s wonderful.

With the club dominating Scottish football with an exciting brand of football there’s not much wrong with the world in the minds of thousands of Celtic fans.

Ten minutes walk from Hampden they were almost running out of booze at Asda as delighted fans picked up their ‘kerry-oot’ before returning home to pick up on the celebrations accompanied by the sweet sound that Brendan Rodgers will be around for the next couple of seasons.

While the workplace is a no-go area for footballing celebrations this week will see a lot of relaxed smiling faces while for others there is one subject that is most definitely out of bounds for discussion.
