Four Ibrox employees can hold their heads up high tonight- the stewards that prevented any Celtic players tying a scarf to the goalposts as the hoops celebrated in front of the visiting support.

When Celtic won 2-1 at Ibrox in December Leigh Griffiths tied a Celtic scarf to a post but there was no prospect of a repeat today. Today, the striker had to settle for laying a scarf over the penalty spot.

The stewards weren’t quite as sharp when Scott Brown was confronted by an angry fan after Celtic had opened the scoring through a seventh minute penalty from Scott Sinclair.

It was a day of joy for the visiting support as they celebrated an emphatic win in the sixth city derby of the season.

After a 1-1 draw at Celtic Park last month the Sevco players indulged in some wild after match celebrations including hurdling over advertising hoardings to throw jerseys into the away support.

Today’s win puts Celtic 36 points ahead of Sevco who are six points in front of St Johnstone in the race for third place.
